Socratic Seminar Pre-Questions

A Socratic Seminar is a discursive format in which students learn through asking questions and exploring each other's views while developing their own individual point of view.

What the classroom looks like during the Socratic Seminar:

Students face each other in a circle. The teacher sits outside the circle and does not participate.


INNER CIRCLE STUDENTS MUST DO THE FOLLOWING:

1. Ask a question
2. Respond to at least one peer question

OUTER CIRCLE STUDENTS MUST: 

1. Complete the peer feedback form.
2. Demonstrate IB learner profiles
